Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Midwife Specialist to provide expert care and support to pregnant women before, during, and after childbirth. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being of both the mother and the baby throughout the pregnancy and delivery process.
| Masters in Midwifery or equivalent postgraduate education leading to, or in addition to, a valid nursing license that meets the requirements for licensing in the State of Qatar |
| • A minimum of 5 years post nursing registration experience |
| • Including a minimum of 3 years’ experience in specialty area of focus |
| • Including a minimum of 1 year as an Clinical Nurse Specialist or having successfully completed the CNS Intern programme in related field |
Skills
In-depth knowledge of prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care
2. Strong understanding of maternal and fetal health
3. Ability to provide emotional support to expectant mothers and their families
4. Proficient in conducting prenatal examinations and monitoring fetal development
5. Skilled in assisting during labor and delivery, including identifying and addressing any complications
6. Knowledge of newborn care, including breastfeeding support and newborn health assessments
7. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team
8. Proficiency in maintaining accurate patient records and documentation
9. Ability to work well under pressure and handle emergency situations calmly and effectively
10. Understanding of ethical and legal standards in maternity care
