Bodyshop Supervisor (Automative)

Key responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate the activities of bodyshop staff, including body repair technicians and painters.

Ensure body repairs, painting, and refinishing services are completed efficiently and meet quality standards.

Assign work based on technician skills and job requirements to maintain optimal workflow.

Inspect completed work to ensure adherence to manufacturer standards and customer expectations.

Monitor repair timelines and ensure jobs are completed within promised deadlines.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and bodyshop procedures.

Maintain accurate records of work orders, parts, and labor costs.

Identify training needs and mentor bodyshop staff to enhance performance and skills.

Coordinate with the parts department to ensure timely availability of body and paint parts.

Required Skills and Experience:

Minimum 7 years of experience in an authorized automotive dealership, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role in Bodyshop.

Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Automotive Engineering or a related field.

Strong knowledge of body repair techniques, paint processes, and refinishing.

Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in bodyshop management software and tools.

Strong communication skills to interact with customers, technicians, and other departments.
