Job Summary:
We are looking for an Assistant Head Chef to support our Head Chef in managing the kitchen team and overseeing the preparation of high-quality dishes. The Assistant Head Chef will be responsible for ensuring smooth kitchen operations and maintaining food quality standards.
Job Responsibility:
1. Assist the Head Chef in creating menus and developing new recipes
2. Supervise kitchen staff and ensure they adhere to proper food handling and hygiene standards
3. Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation
4. Help in monitoring food costs and controlling kitchen expenses
5. Collaborate with the Head Chef to maintain a safe and efficient working environment
6. Step in for the Head Chef when needed
Candidate Requirements:
1. Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role
2. In-depth knowledge of kitchen operations and procedures
3. Strong leadership and communication skills
4. Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
5. Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus
6. Knowledge of food safety regulations
